Our Mission
To provide support, education, and resources for mothers and their families who are experiencing postpartum mood disorders. To educate and inform the community and providers about postpartum mood disorders.
current support & resources
Postpartum Resource Group is a small network of warrior moms passionately working towards providing a vast network of community and online resources for mothers and their families experiencing postpartum mood issues in the Flathead Valley area. While this level of care will be a reality in the near future, we're not quite there yet. Currently we offer a monthly peer support group meeting.
GOALS
We will soon offer individualized resource coordinators--warrior moms who will meet with you, listen with compassion and experience, and work with you one-on-one to help determine the best resources to help you gain understanding and power of your unique situation related to postpartum mood disorders. You are not alone, mama. We are here for you.
if you need help right now
If you are in crisis, are having thoughts of suicide, or need help right now, please call 911, your healthcare provider, or a suicide prevention lifeline, such as:
The Montana Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 24/7
1-800-273-TALK
(1-800-273-8255)
Or text “MT” to 741 741
To get basic information, support, and resources from Postpartum Support International, call the PSI Warmline at 1-800-944-4773 (4PPD)
From the PSI website: Dial extension 1 for Spanish and extension 2 for English. The Warmline messages are returned every day of the week. You are welcome to leave a confidential message any time, and one of the warmline volunteers will return your call as soon as possible. If you are not able to talk when the volunteer calls you, you can arrange another time to connect. The volunteer will give you information, encouragement, and names of resources near you.
The PSI Warmline is not a crisis hotline and does not handle emergencies. People in crisis should call their physicians, their local emergency number or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
